what do you do?

Hey friend,

It's sunny in the UK. That's all anyone has been talking about this week.

That and absolute s*it show going on in global politics. How? Why?

Can we turn it all off and back on again?

How do you get some space from it all Reader?

Mine is definitely through movement in nature. Today (I'm doing my work from the trail, including writing this email to youuuuu.

And by work...I mean the big picture stuff.

One of my things this year is to do a monthly strategy walk. That means I pick a question that I've got about my business or my life, and I go for a walk with it. I get some perspective and I get to move my body. It's my version of turning myself off and back on again.

Today I've been doing stage 2 of a London to Brighton walk. It's been gorgeous, I'm feeling reconnected and joyful again, I heartily recommend it.

Let this be your reminder to get out if you can this weekend, even 10 minutes in nature apparently has measurable mood boosting benefits.

With love

Hi lovely Reader, I keep having different versions of the same conversation lately: The world is a lot. I can’t watch the news. They started a war without a plan. And then I’ll catch a daffodil swaying in the wind, or drink a delicious coffee, or get the sweetest mother’s day card 2 days early because my son can’t sleep for excitement at me seeing it, or nearly wet myself laughing in a yoga class,...

Hello Reader, I don't know about you but January is absolutely kicking my ass this year. It's always a busy time for me, but this year I thought I'd got a handle on it. (I had not) Because sometimes life just happens. You can't control it and you have to ride with it, rather than rail against it. For me, that has meant reprioritising so I can pick up the work of one of my team members while they are off dealing with a bereavement. And honestly, I'm really glad I'm able to do that, to give...
