that's the thing about change

Hello Reader,

I don't know about you but January is absolutely kicking my ass this year.

It's always a busy time for me, but this year I thought I'd got a handle on it.

(I had not)

Because sometimes life just happens.

You can't control it and you have to ride with it, rather than rail against it.

For me, that has meant reprioritising so I can pick up the work of one of my team members while they are off dealing with a bereavement.

And honestly, I'm really glad I'm able to do that, to give them the space to grieve a bit before they come back to work and get hit with their to-do list like nothing has happened.

Because their life just got completely whacked off course.

And that's the thing about change.

Some changes you choose.
Some come completely out of nowhere.
Some are enormous and life altering (I came across the term life quake recently, and it feels so accurate).
Some are small but significant.

Sometimes we don't even know, how big or small the impact is going to be.

So, here is my reminder to you this January.

Give yourself a break my friend.

I don't know what you've got going on right now, but I do know that we are only 23 days into 2026.

That means we've got a whole 342 days to do whatever it is that we particularly want to do this year. Or better yet, to grow into who we particularly want to be.

Slow down.
Breathe.
See the people you love.

Life is happening.
You're doing better than you think.

And I'm right here with you.

With love,

Rosie

Hi lovely Reader, I keep having different versions of the same conversation lately: The world is a lot. I can’t watch the news. They started a war without a plan. How do we respond to the Epstein files. How did we get here. What can we do about it alllllll? And then I’ll catch a daffodil swaying in the wind, or drink a delicious coffee, or get the sweetest mother’s day card 2 days early because my son can’t sleep for excitement at me seeing it, or nearly wet myself laughing in a yoga class,...

Hello lovely Reader. Well.We made it. The end of the year has arrived...somehow. I don’t know about you, but I'm feeling a mixture of proud, tired, relieved, and how on earth is it 2026 already? 😬 If you’re finishing the year feeling calm and spacious...amazing, please teach us your ways.If you’re finishing it clinging on by your fingernails...you are very welcome here.If you are glitching like this my friend's dog please have a lie down immediately. greyhound grooming glitch I hope you find...

Hey Reader. Holy guacamole, it's December my friend and according to a quick calculation I just did there are 26 days left in 2025. People keep asking me if I'm running Design Your Year again. The answer to this is a big fat YES! This intention setting to the community is the backbone to my year, and I know it's the same for many of you. So, just to reassure that the reason I haven't sent you any comms about it is not because it's not happening. But because I've been spending way too long on...
